Georg Œhler has worked internationally in interior and furniture design since 2006 with his Austrian company Pudelskern before founding Georg Œhler Design in London. He built up a reputation through his exhibitions in Milan in the high end design world. His design approach carries his earlier work further using natural material and translating profound stories into design. His interior projects include luxury residential, restaurant and corporate interiors in London, Vienna and Singapore. As of 2013 he is Creative Director of Europe’s leading festive street lighting company MK Illumination.
The design of furniture, lighting and interior projects won Georg Œhler with Pudelskern an Interior Innovation Award Selection and a nomination as Austrian of the Year and his work is exhibited and published around the world. Among the wide range of clients are Casamania, Stepevi, Mint Gallery, or the Austrian Chambers of Commerce.
Growing up in the European Alps and travelling from early ages formed the approach Georg Œhler took on design. The peace and security of a rural childhood in a small mountain village and the deep impression the Parthenon, the Pantheon and the Alhambra influenced his way to see the world. Studying architecture in Innsbruck and Madrid provided the necessary tools to be able to realise his visions.
